2024 is well and truly underway and this month has been a busy one for all departments at Media Street. We’ve had a host of new enquiries, website design and developments taking place, as well as some exciting projects from overseas requiring our support and creative knowledge over the next few months.
The team are also gearing up towards our second year exhibiting at the South West Business Expo in April – we hope to see as many of you there!
Alongside his work at Media Street, web developer Cyril has been working hard towards his Masters Degree in Cybersecurity. The two year course enhanced his interest in computer science and website development, and we are pleased to say he finished his course this month… with his result pending! Cyril said: “The course was challenging, but rewarding. The best part was how much there was to learn, and how the course renewed my interest in computer science. I’ll use my knowledge in my work by not only producing quality websites, but will also make sure that the websites are secure.”
We are really pleased for Cyril and all of the time and work he has put into his studies, alongside his work and commitment to Media Street. Well done from all of the team!
For our team to progress and keep up to date with the latest tech to ensure optimum website performance for our clients, we take time to train and expand our knowledge through weekly and monthly training sessions. This month the marketing team have been involved in complete website overhauls to benefit SEO performance (well done Ellie!), as well as the marketing team’s bi-weekly whiteboard Fridays, where they come together for topical webinar, headlined by an industry professional.
Both departments took part in a two day training session this month to get to grips with new GDPR and analytics plugins, which we are adding to client websites to enhance privacy and tracking features. It’s great to see the enthusiasm for learning in the Media Street office and the team wanting to improve the performance of campaigns going forward.
Every month the team vote for the ‘Employee of The Month’ award. Whilst every member of the team work hard to produce results for our clients, there is always a stand-out performance from an individual, which we want to recognise!
We were pleased to award marketing executive, Ellie, January’s EOTM award, with some fantastic feedback from her colleagues:
Big well done, Ellie!
Whilst February hasn’t been as busy out of the office, it’s certainly been busy with meeting in the office! Thank you to Stuart James Music, Crashbox Classic Car Club, Schoolscapes UK, Parker Bell and more, who have popped in for meetings this month.
We did manage to get down to Newton Abbot to take some pictures for our clients Datel Electric, who will also be exhibiting at the South West Business Expo this year. The photography will be used for brochure designs and merchandise/banners at the event, to make their stand ‘stand-out’ (it will be impossible to miss the stand, that’s for sure!).
