Avoid the Spam Filters

To make sure your mail isn’t flagged as spam avoid using words such as ‘Free’, ‘Discount’, ‘£££’, e.t.c in the subject line and the content of your email.

Make it Personal

Build a relationship with the recipient and don’t send a generic email. Your customers are more likely to read the email if you have their name at the top. Instantly your increasing your chances of them feeling as if they should read it because it’s sent from someone who knows them.

Un-subscribe and Legal Info

Placing your companies name, address and contact details on to the bottom of the email is a must. Not only is it the law, in the UK, but it’s also professional. It shows stability and gains the trust of the customer. Also an un-subscribe button needs to been seen. Not providing your recipients with a ‘get out’ option is against the law.

Catch Their Attention with the Subject Line

You have less than 0.5 seconds to get their attention. Make sure it’s to the point, relevant and interesting.
