Junior Web Designer

We are looking for somebody with a creative flare who has some experience in front-end web design. Our ideal candidate will have an eye for design, is a team player with excellent communication skills and has a passion for web design. This role is perfect for someone who is looking to kick start their career in Web Development.

This job is strictly for candidates who can commute to our Exeter offices.

The Position:

• Overseeing and working on websites for clients. Responding to staff and customer requirements to edit and modify websites ad-hoc.
• Consistently consider website speed impact of changes and test across devices/browsers.
• Reporting to clients both through email as well as verbally.
• Meet clients, face-to-face, to discuss their website builds and edit requests.
• Website and software application designing, building, and maintaining.
• Using scripting or authoring languages, management tools, content creation tools, applications and digital media.
• Working on our custom WordPress theme Using html, CSS and Javascript to create stunning, innovative responsive websites.
• Fixing small design faults / irregularities on websites for a variety of screen sizes.
• Editing, writing, or designing website content, and working closely with team members who produce content.
• Working closely with our Marketing team to ensure all websites are user-friendly and visible to Google.
• Maintaining an understanding of the latest Web applications and programming practices through education, study, and participation in conferences, workshops, and groups.
